About Dr. Morelli

Sara Morelli, MD, PhD, is a knowledgeable double board-certified physician providing exceptional care at the Hasbrouck Heights office of University Reproductive Associates. She is the division director of the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility divison, fellowship director of the REI program, and associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics Gynecology and Women’s Health at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Morelli achieved her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, before completing her medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She finished her medical residency at the New York University School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Morelli completed her REI fellowship at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey and her PhD at Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Newark, New Jersey.

In 2010, Dr. Morelli joined the caring team at University Reproductive Associates. Dr. Morelli’s primary scientific investigative interest is in disorders of the uterine lining. Active in her field, Dr. Morelli has published various book chapters and articles on endometrial function, infertility, endometriosis, in vitro fertilization (IVF), menopause, and ectopic pregnancy. She specializes in infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovarian syndrome, reproductive endocrinology, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Morelli is a member of the Endocrine Society, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Society for Reproductive Investigation. She’s also an oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology REI Exam.

Acknowledged for her dedication to medicine, Dr. Morelli has won several awards, such as the Foundation Scholar Award from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
